How do I apply for and get accepted to CSCS?

CSCS is a public charter school in the Middleton - Cross Plains Area School District. We accept applications on our web form. New students are admitted to CSCS before the start of the school year and at semester (as space allows). Before the start of the school year, if there are more applications than space available, CSCS will hold a lottery to determine students who are accpeted and students who are waitlisted. At semester, students are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

What is the tuition for CSCS?

CSCS is a public school and there are no tuition charges.

If I go to CSCS, what colleges can I attend after high school?

Before opening Clark Street Community School, we consulted with a range of college and university professionals. Competitive private schools welcome student portfolios, narratives, and non-traditional transcripts as part of the admissions process. Public and state schools that typically use a traditional application process focusing on grades, class rank, ACT scores, etc., provided positive feedback regarding Clark Street Community School’s philosophy. Students who graduate from Clark Street Community School will leave with transcripts including narrative descriptions of student learning and growth that are acceptable and preferred by many colleges and universities. CSCS graduates have been accepted to a wide range of colleges and universities including University of Wisconsin systems schools, University of Iowa, Carthage College, Madison College, and Edgewood College.

If I come to CSCS, can I play a sport, be in a high school club, or go to a high school event?

Yes! All CSCS students are allowed to participate in high school level MCPASD activities, clubs, and sports.
