Me And My Shadow
Really engaged learning... well it can be messy.
Because, to be truly engaged in the learning process, you're likely pressing up against an idea that isn't easily understood, you're likely stretching yourself with something you find challenging, you're likely trying to process information in multiple formats, you're likely trying to open yourself to feedback, and criticism, and a whole lot of new thinking. And there's a really good chance, as a high school student, you've never really done that before.
And that folks, can be frustrating, and exhilarating, and down right exhausting.
And frustration and exhilaration and exhaustion, well they're messy.
But engagement is where the real learning happens, and it's what we strive for everyday at Clark Street Community School.
So sometimes, well shucks, things can seem really messy at Clark Street.
But we encourage you to come and see our kind of messy by spending a whole day with us; shadow a student, engage with our educators, participate in discussions, seminars, and peer-feedback session.
We can't wait to show you our kind of 'mess'.
